This annual event really is fun for the entire family. You’ll find all the excitement at Wendell Blvd. and Main streets starting bright and early at 7am. Here’s a rundown of events for the big day:
• Yard sale starts at 7am
• Classic Car Show in the Univeral Chevrolet parking lot from 9am until 2pm
• Church Bazaar with lots of vendors
” BBQ Chicken Plates for sale starting at 11am. $7 per plate.
• Homemade casseroles and bake sale
• Hot dogs
• Live entertainment
• Children’s activities including a tiger bouncy house, an amazing dunk tank, fantastic face painting and a cool snow cone machine…
and, a very special tribute in remembrance of 9/11. Please come out and show your support for our great community and our great nation as the victims, families and heroes of 9/11 are honored by Scout Troop 515. This year’s tribute has been expanded to include military service men and women as well as public service personnel. Colors will be presented promptly at 10:30am between the Wendell Methodist Church and Universal Chevrolet on Main Street. I encourage you to attend and be part of this tribute remembering the 9/11 terror attacks, those who perished, those who survived, those who saved lives and those who serve our communities and country. Come and stand with us as we remember.
